Lamisil (Terbinafine Hydrochloride Tablets) for the treatment of fungal infections of toenails and fingernails, this condition is called, Onychomycosis. Lamisil is used to treat this difficult to cure infection usually caused by one of the following in vitro organisms, Trichophyton Rubrum or Trichophyton Mentogrophytes. The symptoms are as follows: the nail turns white, yellow, or brown and becomes thick and brittle. This can be very painful since the infection is normally within or under the nail.

Lamisil Tablets work due to an active ingredient called Terbinafine which goes directly to the infected area and remains there even after the prescription is discontinued. The healing process for toenails will take between 10 and 12 months, while the time for fingernails will take 3 to 4 months. This is due to the time required for the nails to grow back in.

Directions:

Take one 250mg Lamisil Tablet per day with or without food. For toenail infections stay on the medication for twelve weeks, and for fingernail infections take the medication for six weeks.
