Common Acetazolamide side effects (greater than 1 in 100 patients): Dizziness, fatigue, loss of appetite, taste changes, changes in the acid-base balance.

Uncommon Acetazolamide side effects: Fever, rash, weakness, increased amounts of uric acid in the blood, especially when using thiazides (diuretics), depression, tingling, tingling, nausea, vomiting, kidney stones, disturbances in fluid balance.

Acetazolamide contraindications and precautions

Do not use Acetazolamide:

  • if you have Addison's disease (decreased production of corticosteroid hormones)
