Take special care with Cefuroxime if you are allergic to penicillins as you may be allergic to Cefuroxime (cross-sensitivity).

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other drugs, including over the counter medicines and herbal medications. Please note that the effect of oral contraceptives may be affected by treatment with Cefuroxime.

Dizziness has been reported in association with Cefuroxime. This should be taken under consideration when driving and performing precision work. You are solely responsible for the assessment of your ability to drive or perform other tasks that demand increased concentration. One of the factors that may affect your ability to do these is the use of drugs because of their effects and / or side effects. Description of these effects can be found further down and discuss with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

How to use Cefuroxime

Always take Cefuroxime exactly as your doctor has told you and if anything is unclear please ask your doctor or pharmacist for clearafication. The usual adult dose is 250 mg two times daily.

If you take too much of Cefuroxime you should contact your doctor, nearest hospital or a poison control centre to have them asses the potential risk.

If you have further questions about this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
