Nabumetone side effects

Nabumetone side effects can occur although not everybody gets them.

Common (greater than 1 in 100):

Diarrhea, digestive problems (which include acid reflux), stomach pain, nausea, bloating, constipation, blood in stool, edema (fluid in tissues), headache, dizziness, fatigue, drowsiness, insomnia, itching, rash, blurred vision, tinnitus, dry mouth. If dry mouth occurs, careful oral hygiene important (tooth brushing with fluoride toothpaste twice a day).

Uncommon (less than 1 in 100):

Shortness of breath, hypersensitivity reaction in the form of swelling of the face, lips, tongue and / or throat (angioedema see Take special care with Nabumetone), anxiety, depression, ulcers, photosensitivity, urticaria.

Rare (less than 1 in 1000):

Hypersensitivity reactions, pneumonia, confusion, bleeding from the stomach and intestines, hair loss, serious skin effects such as överhudsavlossning, multiform erythema and skin reaction with inflammation and high fever, jaundice, elevated liver function tests, liver failure, kidney problems, skin changes with blistering (pseudoporphyria), heavy menstrual bleeding, decreased platelet count.

Also the following Nabumetone side effects have been reported:

High blood pressure, heart failure, vomiting blood, black stools, inflammation of the gastric mucosa, inflammation of the mouth, worsening of colitis and Crohn's disease.
In rare cases, severe skin infections associated with varicella.

Please note that drugs like Nabumetone may cause a small increased risk of heart attack or stroke.
